Don’t Let Low Back Pain Hold You Back

Spring has sprung. The birds are chirping, the sun is shining. The winter months are past us and you are feeling a newfound motivation to clean the house and yard and to get in shape for the summer months! You decide to start by cleaning out the garage and immediately you feel a twinge of low back pain. Ouch!

As winter progresses, we become more sedentary and when the weather gets warmer, we like to think we can jump back in to the activities we were doing before Mother Nature decided it was time for a seasonal change. At Modern Chiropractic we see this all the time, especially during this time of year.

At Modern Chiropractic, low back pain is the #1 complaint that we see from our patients. The National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke states that low back pain is the most common cause of job-related disability. This means that low back pain is keeping people from work, in turn decreasing productivity. Approximately 80% of people will experience low back pain at some point in their lifetime. Wow!

While the odds of us experiencing low back pain at some point in our lives are not in our favor, that does not mean there is no hope for us! At Modern Chiropractic, the doctors are trained to analyze the spine and find the root cause of musculoskeletal ailments and work to get your spine corrected and help you become pain-free and allow you to function at 100% of your capability! And since low back pain is the most common ailment we work with, that means we have seen many, many cases of low back pain and we know how to treat them.

There are many structures in the low back which can cause pain, meaning there are also a variety of injuries that can occur to keep you out of work and unable to do the things you love. Some of the most common conditions we deal with are mechanical low back pain, sprains/strains of the lumbar spine, lumbar facet syndrome, lumbar disc herniations, as well as degenerative joint and disc disease. The good news: each one of these injuries can be treated and Modern Chiropractic can help!

The doctors at Modern Chiropractic take your health very seriously and know how debilitating low back pain can be. Through thorough analysis and examination, we will pinpoint the cause of your low back pain and develop a specialized treatment plan designed specifically for you and your spine. Our goal is to get you out of pain and back to doing the things you love, like exercising to get in shape for summer!
